this is a test stop foreigners from coming to developed countries,its a form of racism but very much decguised beacause there is no purpose for it . most of the english speaking countries learn everything accademic using english ,for years ,at school.

O.m.g..... I have just found out that i need to pass ielts in order to study abroad...... I think it is completely unfair..... I am waiting for the results of michigan ecpe (which is much more difficult than this) And i was just informed that i need ielts!!!!!! Michigan ecpe its not fully recognisable in uk......Crap!!!!!!!!

however, in my opinion, he had potential to get more than 7. Another point is presumption on a candidate's general knowledge. For example, I would be blank either, as my friend did, if I was asked to answer about sport or Hollywood!!!

I agree some said that IELTS speaking is unfair. Though the main ideas are about how comfortable and fluent while a candidate is speaking and obviously grammatical correctness but many times I looked at the topics I found them ridiculously nonsense. Once I heard my best friend's complaint that he was totally blank towards those unfamiliar questions unstoppably shooting him. As a result he got 6.5;
