haha i am trying to watch this and my obb-san is saying "why didn't you come to me for help with you kimono or you mom or aunt !?!?" she is talking on the phone to my great aunt she is loud and when she does shows you how to put on a kimono, it is kinda confusing haha it always ends up her putting it on for me and muttering somethings in japanese i will not mention

The structure of kimono and hanfu is quite different.
By the way, I have never seen chinese women wearing hanfu though we japanese often put on kimono.
maybe general chinese don't know even how to put on hanfu.
chinese destroyed a traditional clothes by their own hands.
manchurian dress is well-known worldwide as "china dress" though it might be disgrace for chinese.
